Your Reservation Deposit
A deposit of one night or 50% of your stay (whichever is greater) is required in order to confirm your reservation. The balance is due upon arrival. We accept AMEX, Visa, and MC. Please call us if you would like to pay by personal check. Please note, for enhanced security we DO NOT store any credit card information. Due to this, we require the balance of your stay (credit card, traveler's check or cash) upon arrival. Thanks!
In Case of Cancellation
Cancellations made at least 14 days prior to arrival will ensure a prompt refund less a $25 credit card processing fee. Within 14 days, we will refund your deposit (less the fee) if we can re-book the room. Those who cancel the day of a reservation (or ‘no-shows’) are responsible for the entire amount of their reservation. We are unable to refund for early departures. We apply our cancellation policy fairly to all guests regardless of personal situation, acts of nature or airline.
We typically require a two night stay but will try to accommodate a shorter stay if possible. Please call to discuss options. Availability may be limited.
Check-In time is between the hours of 4:00 and 6:00 PM. Late check-ins are never a problem. Please let us know if a later arrival works best for you. If you'll be in town early, please feel free to park in our car park. We are often away from the inn in the afternoon and are unable to guarantee that your room will be ready until 4:00. Please plan on checking-out by 11:00 AM.
No smoking in the Inn or on the grounds. A room cleaning fee will be assessed if this policy is not adhered to.
The Atlantean is a quiet, adult getaway spot. For the comfort of all of our guests, young children are not appropriate.
In order to maintain the level of service and personal attention we believe is integral to the B&B experience, we are unable to accommodate large groups and gatherings. Please, no more than three rooms to any one group
Other Items of Note
• We have off-street parking for our guests.
• Please feel free to use the guest phone in the butler's pantry. We also have a Wi-Fi network available for guest use.
• Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate pets. Our friends at the Canterbury Cottage are pet-friendly. And, there are many lodging facilities that accept pets. Please contact the Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce for a list.
• Atlantean Inn is not responsible for loss of any money or valuables.
